That long one at the bottom of your keyboard, that's called a space bar. That other one that says "enter," that one makes a space between paragraphs. My god, reading your comments at other peoples sites is a chore.
Oh no, the imposter is here as well. I am the true Fredhammad! Do not persist in this charade! In addition, fake Fredhammad, these people do not understand the value of your degree in English. They have met many holding such, and are not impressed, thinking that it only qualifies one to ruin literature and ask if you would like to biggie size. (Oh, I love those biggie sizes, buy we must protect the beasts from them. They must not be allowed to choose, praise Marx!) Why are they not impressed? I don't know. It must be that cursed common sense thing.
You know, sometimes talking to you and Caveman and the rest is like smashing ones head against a brick wall. Stop being obtuse. Are you really serious about using what you term as “cut & paste” as a valid criticism of what I have posted to any of the three blogs I write for? Let me first ask you a couple of questions. Have you ever written a report, term paper, or thesis at a college level? Have you ever read an article in a newspaper or magazine? Have you ever watched the evening news? Have you ever consumed any form of media, whatsoever? Before you cut me down you have a considerably long list to work through before you get anywhere near me with ridicules idea of how blogging works.
All of these things are based on quoting sources and commentary. I’m going to school for Liberal Art / Humanities with a concentration in English / Writing. After I get my degree I am moving on to Syracuse University’s Newhouse of School of Media, a top school of its kind here in the States. I consistently maintain a GPA of somewhere in between a 3.9 and 4.0. I work 40 hours a week, and then go to school. If I put up something like:
From Media Matters:
Bla, bla, bla, said, “Bla, bla, bla.”
I do it because I don’t have the time ever single day to sit down and write out a reasoned essay, not that I don’t at least two or three times a week anyways. If you want a lazy mans reader digest index of some of my better essays, here you are:
The part I like about blogging is in the discussions that result from the post. That’s why the media establishment hates bloggers. They’ve lost their monopoly. Doesn’t matter what you post or what a paper publishes, we the people now have a wider forum to question, fact check, and define the terms of our world. That’s also why blogs like Caveman’s are disgusting; you can’t have a reasoned discussion there. It’s all "you’re a pussy" and "you suck," which as I remember was the rough basis for one of the first comments I ever saw anywhere’s from you. You chastised someone from the liberal persuasion for being rude and calling names. Yet to this day I’ve never heard you criticize anyone on the Right for doing the same.

Thanks for visiting my site, and for your hilarious comment. I like seeing new people stop by, and actually leaving their opinion as well.
I agree with you in that we will never be the same, but at the same time, a woman should be paid the same as a man for the exact same job, should have the same opportunities, etc. We do support each other, and I think that's great.
Anyway, thanks for coming by, and feel free to return anytime.

Dearest Marido, Is your name Brian? If so let me know I don't really like using nicknames. I've been meaning to write you to express my admiration (lack of a better word) for your eloquence in your posts. I have read your comments and retorts about all the various things on alot of site, Jules, mine etc. While I have the utmost respect for your intellect, and your ability to see two sides of any given story, I have to ask. You seem to be slightly more...I dunno militant? when you comment of Cave's site. I was wondering why, not trying to start shit here, just an observation. So, What's Argentina like, I've seen pics etc, and it seems beautiful. What's Mate and where can I get some in the States? I've shopped around, but it doesn't seem to be anywhere. Hey, that's a possible business idea for you and the wife. "Mate importers" lol you could hype the health benefits and bring down the Starbucks corporation. yay lol friggin moch-frappa-al pacino I like dunkin doughnuts. BTW Hippie's in the hospital I think...another question. What's Chau Y suerte mean? peace and love or the like? Again just curious. Yeah, I'm not a fan of animosity either. Yet, when I encounter militant type people, I don't take kindly to that shate. Whether they be liberal or conservative. I just don't like bullies of any kind on any level. Guess that's the Irish in me. lol Well, that's enough for now bra. Namaste

God, sorry, I truly had no idea about the flea and ant yard bombs. No kidding. And as for your wife, well, I was at that time being quite rude, but it was a mistake that I have already talked to him about, and told him I was sorry for taking his words as mistaken. And for the part of hippie, well, I love the old hippie music from the 60's and 70's. just an anonymous name.
Well, to be honest Brian, our whole family is down with this flu. So, I'll have to wop a mess of it on him after we get a bit better. Hope you get a mess wopped on for Christmas too, friend...LOL!!! Missy

Jules,
thanks for coming back, I have really enjoyed your commentaries. As for the comments I have left in Cavemans place regarding you, that nothingmore than what they are, a surprised reaction at a lack of comment from you all knowing that you had come bay and left no response. Perhaps I overestimated you in expecting a response tomy rebuttle on your veiws. As for Laura's and cave's comment about you going to Cuba, well you yourself said that cuba is much better off now than what it was prior to the Castro destruction. You openly made to be assumed that you think Cuba is better off, therefore why would people not say this. Now for you assumption to my citizenship, ok granted to that i will give you some credit there. However, I try not to make assumptions to a person nationality, but instead I make the question to be certain of this. For example, one lady coem here and left a comment,I went to her site and noticed her english wa that of a non-native speaker. So I asked her origin. Eventhough she resides in the States. I had not made the assumption she was american, eventhough I had an idea to this fact. Now you think I have a certian amount of Animostiy towards you, this is far from fact. Perhaps maybe you political perspectives, butnot you as a person. I do not recall making any such attacks directly against you as a person. If this is the case then please bring my attention to this. As for my smugness, this is probally fact, I do tend to be this way, especially when I have facts and expereicnes to back up my opinoins..... once more the human flaw. I have not denied that I can be this way. In fact when publishing my articles against communism and the like... it comes out very clearly and openly as well. This said, I shall also have to insist that you read my blog...... Disgusting Racists and Bigots. This will show you more indepth into how i see myself, and others as well. I do think it is in the ..stuff to ponder category.
One thing you must know about my wife is that she HAS LITERALLY lived under the oppressive thumb of a dictator such as castro. Keep this in mind. You are very young and know relativly nothing about such things yet. This is not meant as a degrading comment but only as one that has been to places and seen the aftermath of such governments ok. It would be wise of you to learn from such people and their first hand knowledge of things like this.
Chau Y suerte.

I saw your post about me on caveman's site - I'm not sure why you're expressing such animosity towards me. I hadn't insulted you with my post about Che Guevera, I only offered my opinion. And as far as assuming that you are not American, I only did so because your profile said you were located in Argentina. Can you see how this might lead me to believe that you were Argentinian? How could I have known otherwise unless I had been visiting your site regularly before I made the post?
You people (both your wife and caveman) assume too much. I never said that Cuba was a great place to live.
I enjoy a non-combative exchange of ideas on my site. People come and leave comments, and I do whatever I can to respect what they have to say (to the extent to which they respect me). I have a regular visitor who is a catholic and a centrist, for example, but I try to regard her comments with the same respect I do my liberal regulars. If I disagree with someone, I try to do so respectfully, and when I make a mistake I retract it (if you recall, I apologized for calling you a racist without thoroughly looking at your site). You, however, have returned my comments with smugness.
The comment you made on my welfare post, however, was something I can respond to (and I will get to it when I have some more free time). While I disagree with you on many points (and I hope I can do so without being cut down), I can at least respect your comment and opinion. Why can't you simply do the same?
Mr Hippie, I'm Brian's wife. Tell me if I'm wrong, wasn't the lead ideal of hippies "Peace and Love"?. if so, I'm confused here, if you're a hippie, then why you have such a charge of hostility and agressiveness in your words? How can you lightly acuse my husband of being a terrorist and a gun dealer, without even knowing a damned thing about him?. You need help, anger management maybe. Peace and love from Argentina.
I am sorry if I mistook your words for smart ones. I have had so much backlash lately, I guess I am on guard and may be reading the wrong feeling into someone elses's words. Some people have a way of leaving remarks that may sound all pleasant, but they are truly trying to be a shit towards folks. So if I have taken them out of context, for that I do apologize sincerely. Please forgive me of that trespass.
p.s. forgot to tell you, my ass was up - packed - and on a cessna headed to Baton Rouge on the 3rd of Sept. Ret. home on the 7th. I know it was not long, but I was off work then, and my husband had to be in Chicago for work on the 8th of Sept and someone does need to look after the kiddo you know. We cannot leave her alone to do what we want to do. And when I got back, I started collecting goods for people in a semi trailer loaned to me by a local company and when we got it full, the company delivered it to Pearlington, MS. - and I have been sending money each month to Salvation Army. I can only afford $25 monthly, but at least I'm doing something. And I got the name and address of a family who was displaced and shipped about twenty boxes of supplies to her and her kids at MY expense.
See, I too was appalled by the lack of help they got down south.
you know, I do realize it was a part of all three of the governments, meaning city, state, and feds. No questions at all on that. But when a city and state are to a point of being dead in their tracks the way Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama was, does the Fed's not have an obligation to jump in and say "Hey" "here we are, we did not waste time, here's some troops, here's some relief, here's some food, and water" - I was not a person who was into things as I am now during the flooding you speak of in 1993, I was more involved in being pregnant and giving birth that year to have been watching the news. Matter of fact, I only began watching the news in the past 4-5 years. Before that, it was just unimportant to me. I guess at that time in my life, I just did not think much of it. You know how it is, before you realize you will not be living forever, you think you are somewhat invinclible, and maybe that things like news does not affect us on a personal basis. I wish I had began earlier in life paying more attention to such things, but hell, cannot change it now. Only figure out where I stand today. Just like yourself.
You mentioned that you are pro some things anti some things. I'm the same way. I think like most, that Saddam did need removal along with his clan of killers he had in office.
But, we went to war after Osama Bin Laden, Saddam was not mentioned till a few weeks later. And now, Osama is like that kid's book called "Where's Waldo" - no one knows where he is or even if he's dead or alive - it's a freakin' joke now.
No I was not forced to move here, It is called a marriage.
As for being worried about Bush, I tend to have a certian aprehension for all politicians, for in my veiw they are all corrupt on one level or another, sadly to say, this is a norm, regardless of what form of government it is. However, I do favor the more conservitive side of the spectrum, and I think I clearly state with my opinoins and reflections on my experiences. Not to say I am completly what is considered to be a "neo-con" nor a "libby" but have been known to agree with certian veiws on both sides of the isle so to speak. Still, after my many experinces not only state side and living in other countries (not just L.A.) and seeing the devestation that Communism and other such dictatorship-like regemes have left I will always favor a more conservitive veiw. I do thank you for you sincere concern as to my well being though.
What are you worried about Bush for, you live down in Argentina. Seems to me, you are pretty covered. I mean were you forced to move from America to there?
